The applicant shall:

1.Be a graduate from China of a 5 year, full-time program at a Traditional Chinese Medicine University or College.

2.Have 2 years of University in the sciences, or the equivalent and graduate from a recognized Traditional Chinese Medicine College with a 5 year Dr of TCM program or equivalent program in Oriental medicine, and have satisfactory clinical experience.

3.ATCMANS also accepts CMAAC and ANANS standards for the qualification of CMD and Dr. TCM.

4.Holds a license from a regulated province or state, of CMD. or Dr. TCM or OMD (Oriental Medicine Doctor)

B) Membership qualifications for Dr. Ac. (Doctor of Acupuncture)

The applicant shall:

1.Be a graduate from China of a 5 year, full-time program at a Traditional Chinese Medicine University or College.

2.Have 2 years of University in the Sciences or an equivalent standard, and graduate from a recognized Traditional Chinese Medicine College with a 4 year Dr of Acupuncture and TCM program, have satisfactory clinical experience.

3.Hold a government license of Dr. Ac. and have satisfactory clinical experience in acupuncture (An interview and examination may be required).

4.ATCMANS also accepts reputable associations standards for the qualification of Dr. Ac. (An interview and examination may be required).

C) Membership qualifications for D. Ac. (Diploma of Acupuncture) and R. Ac. (Registered Acupuncturist)

The applicant shall:

1.Be a graduate of a 3 year program from a recognized Acupuncture college and have satisfactory clinical experience (An interview and examination may be required).

2.Holds a license from a regulated province or state, of D. Ac. or R. Ac.

D) Membership qualification for Dr. NM or DNM (Doctor of Natural Medicine)

The applicant shall:

1.Graduate from a recognized University/College with a 4 year program of natural medicine and have 5 years clinical experience.

2.Be a foreign-trained, Natural Medicine Doctor from a University/ College with a 5 year program. Doctors in this category include Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine Doctors and have 4 years clinical experience.

3.ATCMANS also accepts reputable associations standards for qualification for Dr. NM or DNM (An interview and examination may be required).

Honorary Director

Any person who is willing to assist in the promotion of the Association, and who, having been recommended by two members of the Association, in writing and whose admission has been unanimously approved by the Executive Committee, shall be deemed an Honorary Director. The Executive Committee reserves the right to review the duration of his or her membership.
