Code of Ethics

 

Members of the Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Nova Scotia will provide their treatment services to the best of their abilities at all time and will be responsible to their patients and their Association colleagues for upholding the principles that we set forth.

Every ATCMANS member will conduct himself or herself in a manner which reflects the core Acupuncture and TCM values of caring and respect for the individual.

- Members will work within the scope of their practice.

- Members will hold the health and well-being of their clients as a primary responsibility.

- Members will provide appropriate care to their clients to help them attain optimal health.

- Members take full responsibility for all the care they provide to their clients, and, where applicable, the care provided by those under their supervision.

- Members will protect their clients’ confidentiality and the confidentiality of their health information.

- Members actively participate in continuing education programs to update and broaden their knowledge base on ongoing developments in TCM and Acupuncture.
